2021 WWE WrestleMania Backlash card, match, date, start time, rumor, prediction, match card, location

Must read

It’s time to end the book about the 2021 wrestling mania season. WWE will return to PPV from Tampa this Sunday to participate in Wrestlemania Backlash and three championship games. The PPV event is a rebranding of Backlash. It is the first PPV after the wrestling craze from 1999 to 2009. It is expected that there will be some Wrestlemania rematches and some new matches on this card, and mixing them together may bring a lot of fun.

In a headline game, Bobby Leslie will face Drew McIntyre and Braun Stromman in a triple threat action, putting the WWE championship at risk.

The WWE WrestleMania Backlash will be held at the Yuengling Center in Tampa on Sunday, May 16. The main show will start at 7pm EST and will be broadcast live on Peacock. The kick-off show will start celebrations an hour before. So let’s now take a look at the confirmed WrestleMania Backlash match and break down the other content that can be added to the match card based on the current weekly TV show.

WWE WrestleMania Backlash competition

WWE Championship – Bobby Lashley (c) vs. Drew McIntyre vs. Braun Strowman: Although Rushley won the first night of WrestleMania, WWE announced that they are fighting back against the conflict between the two. To be sure, this is a strange decision, and McIntyre’s defeat seems to guarantee his removal from the championship list in the foreseeable future. McIntyre’s victory also meant that WWE gave up giving him a “WrestleMania moment” in front of the crowd after winning the championship in the deserted performance center of WrestleMania 36 in 2020. Braun Strowman was previously a Retribution before being attacked by T-Bar and Mace. When Strowman defeated McIntyre on Raw with the help of Mace and T-Bar, WWE may have found an opportunity for Lashley or McIntyre to bear the loss, thus turning the game into a triple threat.

World Championship – Roman Reigns (c) vs. Cesaro: Cesaro challenged Reigns on SmackDown, but was mocked by the champion before matching Jey Uso. When Rains faced-and defeated-Daniel Bryan, the problems between Cesarro and Seth Rollins continued to hang on his head. After Reigns defeated Bryan, he forced Cesaro to watch because he delivered a con-chair to Bryan. Cesaro finally locked in his chance to challenge the championship. He defeated Rollins on SmackDown, and the game stipulated that he would win the championship.

SmackDown Women’s Championship – Bianca Bellaire (c) vs. Belle: After defeating Sasha Banks on WrestleMania to win the championship, Belair appears to be in a rematch on WrestleMania Backlash. Instead, she got Bayley, Banks’ former best friend. Bailey didn’t do anything on WrestleMania, interrupted every link in the background or between games, and was embarrassed by the Bella Twins. However, as the longest-running SmackDown women’s champion in WWE history, Pele’s sincerity is of course reliable. She will shoulder the mission of returning to the title, and at the same time, the old competition with Belair for the title will repeat itself.

Original Women’s Championship – Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Asuka vs. Charlotte Flair: Flair was a surprising absence from WrestleMania, but once the biggest show on the calendar appeared in the books, Flair came back and let people know that she had plans to become a champion again. Then, she attacked Asuka and Ripley in the WrestleMania vs. Raw rematch. After announcing that Ripley would defend her title in the rematch with Asuka, Fryer asked her to be allowed to participate in the match, and Sonia Deville agreed to this request.

SmackDown Tag Team Championship – Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode (c) vs. Dominik & Rey Mysterio: Mysterios is trying to become the first father-son doubles champion in WWE history as they play against Roode and Ziggler. The champion did not win an unforgettable title. Since winning the belt in January, they have only defended the title twice. This pair of partners also did not appear in the 2021 pay-per-view event.

Damian Priest vs. The Miz (Lumberjack Competition): Priest and Bad Bunny defeated Miz and John Morrison on WrestleMania. However, this did not solve the problem between the men. The Raw game between Morrison and the priest has been determined, and the winner can set rules for the priest against Meads in Backlash. Priest won the competition and chose the Lumberjack competition, leaving Miz nowhere to escape.
