The formula is described as having “rich color” and “smooth primer” that “keep lips comfortable and moisturized”. Most shades have translucent to opaque color coverage in a single layer, while slightly weaker shades are buildable to some extent. Darker shades tend to perform best, while some lighter shades sink slightly into the lip line (less noticeable, or not noticeable at all).
Some shades are smoother than others, so I think the term “smooth primer” is the weakest and is not always satisfied. The texture is light, slightly creamy, not heavy or too slippery, and does not pull during use. The formula is comfortable and moisturizing when worn, and lasts between four and six hours. There does not seem to be any smell or taste.
