When KL Rahul faced Select County XI on the first day of Tuesday’s warm-up match, he promptly reminded the Indian team’s management with a top 100 record.

The Indian team did not have the regular captain Virat Kohli (back midfielder) and his deputy Ajinkya Rahane (hamstring injury). Despite the early hiccups, they ended up 306-9, thanks to 101 of Rahul’s 150 goals. Afterwards he “retired”.

His innings had 11 four-pointers and one six-pointer.

Ravindra Jadeja (146 goals, 75 goals) also played his role in the 127 fifth wicket with Rahul, as the top players failed to make the most of the appropriate game time.

Substitute captain Rohit Sharma (9 years old), his possible starting partner in Nottingham, Mayank Agarwal (28 years old), veterans Cheteshwar Pujara (21 years old) and Hanuma Vihari (24 years old) did not spend enough on the designated first-class crease Time game.

In the foursome, Agarwal looked smooth when beating his teammate Avesh Khan, and he broke multiple boundaries on behalf of the “home team” before the Pacers Lyndon James.

Pujara played his own game, but just after nearly 50 minutes, goalkeeper James Rew beautifully tripped him from the bowling ball of spinner Jack Carson.

Vihari’s impatience after lunch cost him a heavy price because he failed to clear the left arm spinner Liam Patterson-White’s mid lane.

But before that, he determined that his harsh linear drive caused Avesh to suspect a dislocation of his left thumb. Another’County XI’ player, Washington Sundar, has never bowled once.

However, this day belonged to Rahul, who sent opposition pitchers to all parts of the field, to his 15th top 100.

Initially, he played a lot of balls near the wicket-Avesh had a square cut, James used their passing speed to cut back, and the kick-off to Craig Miles in the first half was an enjoyment to watch.

When the spinner was running, the left-arm orthodox Paterson White was hit with a six-pointer, which flew out of the field on Chester-Le Street.

Entering the 90s, he went out and pulled the spinner Kasen to the long-distance boundary. Patterson White slammed his back foot to the border of the middle wicket to get him his one hundred.

Of course, this century is not guaranteed to play for Nottingham’s XI, but Rahul has done enough work to keep Pujara and Rahane in a state of tension, because in the upcoming series, they will both participate in the game to save their Testing career.

Jadeja played the second violin, but didn’t give up the loose delivery, hitting five-pointers and six-pointers before Miles fired him.

Pacer Miles is the most successful bowler in County XI, with three wickets, while teammates James and Patterson-White each have several scalps.

Brief score: India 306 score 9 (KL Rahul 101 retired, Ravindra Jadeja 75, Mayank Agarwal 28, Hanuma Vihari 24, Cheteshwar Pujara 21, Rohit Sharma 9, Craig Miles 3 42, Lyndon James 2/32) vs. County XI.
