Sacred chocolate

Laura Mercier Essential Red Divine Chocolate Silky Lip CreamLaura Mercier Essential Red Divine Chocolate Silky Lip Cream ($32.00 for 0.12 ounces) is a soft dark brown with subtle, warm undertones and a slightly shiny finish. It looks more shiny than it feels because it is more of a thin and light consistency with a velvety sliding feel rather than a creamy, more emollient one.

It has mostly opaque color coverage, spreads evenly and lasts for five hours. The formula feels slightly moisturizing when worn.

The formula should have “high-impact color” and “moisturizing and smoothing” “weightlessness and decadence”. The pigmentation is almost opaque to opaque in a single layer, and the application is smooth and without pulling. The texture is slightly creamy, but it is softer overall, so it glides easily on my lips, but it doesn’t feel too slippery.

The problem I ran into was that the formula did not seem to be particularly forgiving of natural lip texture or blemishes, so despite the exfoliation before use, since the formula should be smooth, I did not expect to highlight some areas. It also addresses darker lip lines slightly, and lighter tones are more pronounced compared to brighter or darker tones (in person, not just in close-up photos). They lasted for four to six hours on me and felt slightly moisturizing.

Coral slave

Laura Mercier Coral Nu Rouge Essentiel Silky Crème LipstickLaura Mercier Coral Nu Rouge Essentiel Silky Crème Lipstick ($32.00 for 0.12 ounces) is a light-to-medium peach-colored coral with a strong, warm undertone and satin finish. It looks brighter when tapped than it is on my lips. The texture is light, thin and soft, but it seems to crack and separate more clearly on my lips, especially any small imperfections along my lip line and lip texture (and I exfoliate before using it!).

It has a translucent color effect and can be slightly increased. It wears decently for three hours and feels slightly moisturizing over time.

Coral Claire

Laura Mercier Coral Clair Rouge Essentiel Silky Crème LipstickLaura Mercier Coral Clair Rouge Essentiel Silky Crème Lipstick ($32.00 for 0.12 ounces) is a light peach-colored coral with a mild, warm undertone and satin finish. The texture is smooth, light and thin, which helps it to have a velvety glide on my lips without feeling sticky.

It has translucent, buildable pigmentation that can be applied more evenly. There is a product that blends into my deeper lip line, although it was not noticed until a few hours after wearing it. This shade can stay for four hours and feels slightly moisturizing when worn.
