Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane and Ravichandran Ashwin have opted out of the three-day first-class warm-up match against Durham County Select XI that started on Tuesday.

“On Monday night, Corley felt a stiff back and the BCCI medical team advised him to rest during the three-day first-class warm-up match.

“Rahane has a slight swelling around her upper left hamstring. This has been resolved by injection. The BCCI medical team is monitoring him and it is expected that he will fully recover in time for the first test in England starting in Nottingham on August 4.” BCCI Secretary Jay Shah said in a statement.

Rohit Sharma played his 100th first-rate game, leading one side.

After some of their players were deemed unable to play due to injuries or close contact with Covid-19 positives, the European Central Bank made a request to the Indian team’s management to allow two players from the Indian Task Force to participate in Draft XI. Therefore, Washington Sundar and Avis Khan can already play for their team.

But Avis injured his thumb while playing. Whether it is a dislocation or a minor injury remains to be seen.

Mayank Agarwal became the focus of India’s warm-up match with County Select XI

Rohit (9) and Mayank Agarwal (28) added 33 points to the first wicket before Lyndon James sent two openers in quick succession.

All eyes will be on Hanuma Vihari, who will play for India after his trip to Australia, as well as a four-pronged attack composed of Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Umesh Yadav and Shardul Thakur.

Mohamed Shami also took a break due to the game.

The Indian cricket player wears a black armband to mourn the death of former batsman and World Cup champion Yashpal Sharma, who died of cardiac arrest on July 13. The head coach of the Indian team, Ravi Shastri, was his teammate in the 1983 World Cup.

The Indian team will play an intra-squad match on the same venue from July 26th to 28th.

India: Rohit Sharma(C), Mayank Agarwal, Cheteshwar Pujara, Hanuma Vihari, KL Rahul (WK), Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Shardul Thakur, Umesh Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj.
